Learnopolis+ builds up on the successful work from the Learnopolis project (2019-2021). The University of Bayreuth, the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, the Vasyl Stus National University of Donetsk and the National Volodymyr Hnatiuk Pedagogical University of Ternopil are jointly developing Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) for university teachers training on the topics of "International Cooperation", "Inclusion" and "Media Production in Foreign Language Education". These will be launched on Prometheus.org.ua, the largest Ukrainian MOOC platform with around 1.8 million users. Beyond the MOOCs, there is a lively exchange in the form of summer schools, workshops on media production at the partner universities and a workshop on MOOC production in Bayreuth, as well as podcasts and mutual job shadowing.

Duration: 10/2021-09/2023. Funding: approx. 200.000€ (DAAD with funds from the BMBF).

The Ivan Franko National University of Lviv is one of the oldest universities in East-Central Europe and was founded in 1661. Today, more than 19,000 students study at 19 faculties of the university, which was named after the Ukrainian national poet Ivan Franko. 1886 people are engaged in research and teaching. Within Ukraine, it is one of the most successful universities, both in terms of student numbers and in research rankings.

The Vasyl Stus National University of Donetsk was founded in 1937 as the State Pedagogical Institute and sees itself as an open academic community, which today is a leading center for education, science and innovation in the Vinnytsia Oblast and Ukraine. It is home to about 5200 students in 8 faculties. Its goal is to educate equally intellectual, innovative and reflective individuals who will serve society. It bears the name of the Ukrainian Soviet poet, publicist, intellectual and dissident Vasyl Stus.

The history of the Volodomyr Hnatiuk National Pedagogical University of Ternopil dates back to 1620. Today, according to Ukrainian ratings, TNPU is the most prestigious Pedagogical University in the country, with a total of 10 faculties where students study in various specialties: both pedagogical and non-educational. In addition, there are various research and teaching centers based on faculties, including a resource center for inclusion.
